 From a warehouse find, this is a new, unplayed stock copy, in its original factory sleeve... pristine mint! This was Hamilton's excellent followup to his great rocker "Don't Let Go", but unaccountably it went nowhere with radio programmers. Frankly, it's always mystified me how little respect Roy Hamilton seems to have gotten over the years... this guy had a Jackie Wilson great voice and even some great material and arrangements, like this one. Just like Wilson, though, he was occasionally saddled with sappy material and arrangements. Unlike Wilson, though, collectors and critics seem to remember the sap more than the rich rock'n'soul.... like this one, which got very little airplay at the time, and is on very few want lists today. A shame... take a listen to the mp3 snippet and see if you don't agree.
