 Listening to this masterpiece once again, you just have to forgive Rod for his many indulgences in the years since. Here he made enduring rock 'n' roll that can't be ignored and demands to be celebrated. By the way, it's a bit shocking to realize that Mercury originally plugged 'Reason To Believe'  as good as it is  as the A side of this 45. That was in keeping with the singer's earlier, folk-rock-oriented singles like "Handbags and Gladrags" and "Country Comforts." By the way, the single version of "Maggie May" (the hit version) is specially edited from a 5:46 album track. Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Mercury Records factory sleeve. It grades very close to Mint across the board (Labels, Vinyl (styrene), Audio).
