(C45s)Locomotive Breath/ Wind-Up by Jethro Tull

 mp3 availablePlay mp3: Side A | Side B
Label: Reprise 1054 Year: 1971
Factory sleeve included
Condition: M- $30.00
Locomotive Breath/ Wind-UpHave a listen to the mp3 snippet of this one, and you'll understand why Jethro Tull mattered at this point in Rock history. They definitely made their contribution in this great track from their LP "Aqualung"! By the way, "Locomotive Breath" was revived (I don't know if it was a re-recording) and charted for the group in 1976 after they had moved to Chrysalis. Collector Nerd Alert: Both of these tracks are edited versions of the respective album cuts (4:23 and 6:01). Another factoid: This stock copy doesn't "bleep" out the reference to the guy's balls in the last verse, as the promo copy does. Finally, I note that this 3:05 edited version doesn't appear in online services like iTunes or Spotify, where you'll only find the LP version, with its over-long and somewhat underwhelming intro. The 45 version starts you off with a big "bang!" and proceeds to knock you off your feet as it barrels through. :-) Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage Reprise Records factory sleeve. This beautiful copy has a pristine Mint A label, but the B label has a tear on it. The vinyl is Near Mint, and the audio approaches Mint as well.
