For Your Precious Love/ Sweet Was The Wine by Jerry Butler

Label: Falcon 1013 Year: 1958
Condition: EX+ $27.00
For Your Precious Love/ Sweet Was The WineThis single marked one of the very first instances of true soul music, rather than the usual RnB vocal group sound. The single was first—and very briefly—released on Vee Jay 280, then on Falcon 1013, and then on Abner 1013, so this is the rare second presssing. The tracks are credited to "Jerry Butler and the Impressions." This was a non-album single. Note: This beautiful copy has labels that grade very close to Mint (see scan). The vinyl grades a strong EX, with some light scuffs mostly toward the outer edges. The audio is clean, but grades EX to reflect light underlying surface noise.
