(C45s)You Baby/ Wanderin' Kind by The Turtles

 mp3 availablePlay mp3: Side A | Side B
Label: White Whale 227 Year: 1966
Factory sleeve included
Condition: M- $25.00
You Baby/ Wanderin' KindThere aren't too many perfect pop confections that make me smile like this one! It's one that simply must be in our online "jukebox" of mp3 snippets. This early Turtles single isn't as well known as some of their later ones, but after you hear the snippet, I'm sure you'll agree it's one of their very best. Sadly, all the Turtles hits are out of print on 7-inch vinyl. First pressings of this single are on the dark blue White Whale label; this is the second pressing on the light blue label. Incidentally, I've found it quite hard to find original pressings of this single in collectable condition over the years... This is the first one I've ever owned in over 40 years of collecting and selling! And it's always been on my mental list! Note: This beautiful copy comes in a vintage White Whale Records factory sleeve. The label is about as Near Mint as this style of White Whale label gets: just a light touch of the usual "mottling" inking on these labels. The vinyl (styrene) also grades Near Mint, as some very faint surface scuffing is visible on close inspection. The audio, I'm very pleased to say, is pristine Mint! (Have a listen to the mp3 snippet to hear what I mean.)
