(C45s)Sixteen Tons/ You Don't Have To Be A Baby To Cry by Tennessee Ernie Ford

Label: Capitol 3262 Year: 1955
Factory sleeve included
Condition: M- $25.00
Sixteen Tons/ You Don't Have To Be A Baby To CryHere's a beautiful copy of this classic single from the dawn of the Rock 'n' Roll era... the finest I've yet run across. Ford is a country artist, sure, but he also pioneered the boogie beat in that market, and "Sixteen Tons" is a working man's blues, just like that of many of the rockabilly youngsters who followed in its wake. The flip is another terrific performance and great song. Note: This scan is a representative image from our archives. This copy comes in a vintage Capitol Records factory sleeve. The record itself looks new, with just a hint of storage wear, and the audio is as pristine as you will hear.
