(C45s)Gone, Gone, Gone/ Let The Juke Box Keep On Playing by Carl Perkins

 mp3 availablePlay mp3: Side A | Side B
Label: Sun 224 Year: 1955
Condition: M- $200.00
Gone, Gone, Gone/ Let The Juke Box Keep On PlayingHere's a beautiful copy of the very rare first Sun single by Carl Perkins. The matrix numbers suggest that "Let The Juke Box..." was the intended A side, but certainly it's "Gone, Gone, Gone" that makes the lasting impression as a glimpse of the wild Rockabilly Sun was recording with Elvis as well as Carl Perkins in 1955. Note: The audio is Near Mint but does have very light surface noise, especially near the beginning... have a listen to the mp3 snippet.
